Meet The Team

Alana

Office Manager

Alana is our Office Manager and is also a Registered Dental Assistant.  She joined Dr. Light’s office in August of 2009.  She is multi-talented by being fully trained in back office functions, including assisting Dr. Light chairside and all administrative/front office functions.  She is also our medical billing and worker’s compensation specialist.  Outside of dentistry, Alana enjoys spending time with her loved ones, roller skating and weight lifting.

Ashley

Administrative Assistant/Front Office

Ashley joined our team in May 2021 and has been a great asset to our office. She was born and raised in Redding, but recently moved to Sacramento in 2021. Ashley helps coordinate the Hygiene schedule and assist with administrative functions. She is sympathetic and strives to help patients with their questions and concerns. Outside of the office, she enjoys boardgames, live music and making people laugh. 

Lisa

Dental Hygienist

Lisa, is our Hygienist.  She is a graduate of Sacramento City College, Dental Assisting Program, 1984 and Dental Hygiene Program 1990.  Lisa has worked for Dr. Light the longest of all his staff, since March 1987.  Lisa prefers the nature of a maxillofacial Prosthodontic practice and enjoys catering to all patients, especially those with geriatric and unique medical needs.

Sophia

Registered Dental Assistant

Sophia joined our team in April of 2017.  She graduated from Sacramento City College in 2015 with a certificate in Dental Assisting.  Since then, she has become a Registered Dental Assistant.  She plays a very valued role here as a Treatment Coordinator and is our Hygiene Coordinator.  She also assists Alana in all administrative functions.  Sophia enjoys the interaction and connects well with our patients, including helping them understand their insurance benefits.  Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family.

Rashelle

Registered Dental Assistant

Rashelle is a Registered Dental Assistant that joined our team in February of 2018, with over twenty years of experience in the field of dentistry.  Rashelle is highly knowledgeable and skilled in all aspects of her role as an R.D.A., though she most enjoys the art of fabricating temporary crowns and bridges.  She is passionate about dentistry, as it shows through her work as well as her chairside manner.  The patient’s comfort and having a positive dental experience is Rashelle’s first priority.  Outside of dentistry, she most enjoys having fun with her family, camping, and cake decorating.

Jose

Laboratory Technician

Jose is our Laboratory Technician.  He has been with Dr. Light since August 2004.  He has 18 years of dental laboratory experience in addition to 3 years of dental assisting.  He received all his dental laboratory training while serving in the Navy for over 10 years.  He is Prenames implant certified, Ivoclar denture certified, Vita FM 13 certified and EMax all ceramic crown certified.  He is highly skilled in the fabrication of crowns, bridges, dental implant restorations, dentures and maxillofacial prostheses.

Dell

Laboratory Technician

Dell is our Laboratory Technician.   He has been a dental laboratory technician for 33 years.  He served in the Navy as a Dental Assistant for 3 years prior to the Navy sending him to Dental Tech School where he served as a Dental Lab Technician for an additional 3 years.  He specializes in dentures, partial dentures, denture relines and repairs.  He has worked for Dr. Light for 3 1/2 years.  His goal is to create a perfect denture for every patient.

Julissa

Registered Dental Assistant

Julissa is a Registered Dental Assistant that joined our team in October 2020. She graduated from Anthem College in 2011 receiving her certificate and then became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2012. She has over 10 years of Dental experience and aims to provide patients with ease and kindness. Helping people smile Is her passion. Julissa’s main priority is to provide patients with as much comfort and reassurance as possible. Outside of work she likes spending time with loved ones such as her nieces and nephews. She also enjoys playing with her dog Julian and being a dog mom to her little one.
